Training and Development
We are committed to providing the very best tutors possible to work with our pupils. Once you are on board, we’ll train you in our purpose built curriculum and show you how to get the most out of the lesson plans we’ve developed.
Tutors United provide valuable training in behaviour management, creative teaching techniques, differentiation and how to effectively assess pupils’ learning. We are highly confident in all of our tutors and will always place you where we think you will thrive the most and have the greatest impact on your pupils.
Who are we looking for?
We know how hard it is to get experience, with no experience. That is why all we need to know is that you are ready to learn and inspire the next generation of graduates.
To apply for this role we ask that you are:
- Currently in University (doing your 1st degree)
- With a B or above in English and Maths at GCSE level
- Preferably a C or above in English or Maths at A Level
- Driven to close the attainment gap in education
What’s the commitment?
You will need to be available to work at least 2 hours a week, between 3-6 pm on weekdays only. Once agreed, your hours will be regular, but where possible we can be flexible to accommodate timetable changes and other commitments.
Rewards and Benefits
We are proud to pay our tutors a basic salary of £10 per hour for their tutoring time. On top of this we host regular tutor socials, top-up training sessions, personal development reviews and are provide all tutors with professional references once they graduate out of our programme.
