Emily Kell
After tutoring young people from low socio-economic backgrounds throughout university, Emily went on to establish a free tutoring programme for primary and secondary school pupils from low-income households in Cambridge to develop key skills and confidence in English and Maths. This kick-started a lifelong commitment to achieving positive change for young people; today, Emily is a senior leader in the not-for-profit sector and has over a decade of experience managing broad portfolios of high-quality youth programmes.
Since 2020, Emily has been a trustee at The Kite Trust, a charity supporting LGBTQ+ young people in Cambridgeshire. Emily has been a Scout Leader for over 10 years and currently volunteers with Young Women’s Trust, providing CV feedback and speaking at events to support marginalised young women into employment. Emily is motivated to empower others to gain the skills, confidence and knowledge to achieve their potential.
Emily joined our board of trustees in the summer of 2024, and has become our Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Board.
